Complete Service Delivery

Barrier Repairs

We can offer our clients a full cradle to grave project management service to cover any level of accident damaged safety barrier repair contract, on a job by job basis or from within a term framework agreement.  To assist our clients in the management process involved, CSF can routinely or specifically carry out route safety inspections to determine the number, extent and exact specification of accident damage sites.  We will then put together priced bills of quantities and site layouts for consideration by our clients to raise works orders.  These works will then be planned together to minimise disruption to road users, improving journey times.

If existing specifications have been superseded, or the asset condition has deteriorated beyond its useful life then we will suggest a small upgrade replacement design to meet all the current criteria to allow our clients to continually improve their network in an efficient, effective manner.  Our specialist levels of productivity allow multiple barrier damage sites to be completed on each shift.by a single crew.

Parapet & VRS Installations

Our highly skilled workforce are continually installing new safety barriers and parapets right across the UK on a daily basis.  The demanding productivities targeted by our lead erectors allow us to offer marked leading rates, whilst never compromising on quality standards. With a medium sized dedicated team of fencing specialists, CSF take the utmost pride in the delivery of their work, the repeat business we enjoy is testament to this fact.

No matter what the site requirements are, no matter the challenging timescales our clients may have, CSF always deliver on time and within budget.  Our dedicated project management team will ensure that everything is dealt with professionally and communicated effectively. Our installers are trained and certified to erect almost every system on the Highways Agency accepted product list.

Cyclic Maintenance

Every local authority and trunk road maintenance contractor has an obligation to inspect, repair and re-tension all the safety fences they are responsible for on a biennial basis in accordance with BS 7669 Part 3.   These cyclical operations are often viewed as laborious, time consuming, labour intensive and consequently expensive task by maintenance contractors.  It is regularly an afterthought in the annual programme which results in it been unfortunately carried out in the Winter months before the year end, when ambient temperatures are low and other  seasonal priorities divert the allocated resources, only adding to the cost and putting unnecessary contractual and financial risk onto the local authority or operating company.

With our proactive approach to safety barrier maintenance, we can plan these works to be combined with other routine operations to reduce costs and pass these savings onto our clients.  We can carry out all three of these operations (inspection, maintenance and re-tensioning) simultaneously under the same traffic management to minimise carriageway occupation times and maximising the use of resources available.

Design

Our professionally qualified and highly experienced management team can develop a workable, realistic, priced design solution to suit any site conditions.  CSF has strong connections within the professional safety fencing industry and can advise our clients on the most suitable and commercially efficient barrier or parapet system.  Subsequent to our detailed and safety inspection or on site specific request we can design solutions to rectify any safety related issues that have been identified by risk assessment, deemed to require VRS protection.

Through innovation and attention to detail our specialist teams will ensure your network is adequately protected by systems which meet all the current industry standards and design criteria.
